• Ascendis released a voluntary trading statement for the six months ended 31 December 2017. Headline earnings and earnings per share are expected to be more than 20% higher.

Capitec Bank Holdings Ltd (CPI)

• S&P said that its rating on Capitec Bank is not affected by the research report published by Viceroy Research.

Vodacom Group Ltd (VOD)

Vodacom gained 5.25% yesterday to close at R163.19 after releasing a trading statement which showed an increase in their group revenue. Vodacom’s share price also closed yesterday above its 200-day moving average which could lead to further upside, finding resistance at R168.81 followed by R177.10. On the downside, the stock could find support at R156.00 followed by R145.73 (50-day moving average).
