Alphabet Inc. is an American multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mountain View, California. It was created through a corporate restructuring of Google on 2 October 2015, and became the parent company of Google and several former Google subsidiaries.
Last week, Alphabet reported their third quarter results for the period ended 30 September 2018. Gross total revenues increased by more than 21% to $33.7 billion (2017: Q3 $27.7 billion). The increase was primarily driven by strength in mobile search and growth in cloud services. YouTube and desktop search also aided in growing revenues.
